Parent Advisory Council

Parent Advisory Council

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a team of parents who are enthusiastic and eager to serve as leaders within Nebraska to improve quality of life for all children and families. The PAC provides these individuals with opportunities to have conversations with other parents about what’s happening in their communities, what they are passionate about when it comes to supporting families to be financially sustainable and experiencing healthy, well-balanced lives, and communicating with community and government agencies to bring about positive outcomes for Nebraska families.

We are currently seeking parents and other family members who support, care for, and raise children to join the PAC Planning Committee. Planning Committee members will receive training and educational supports so they can put their talents and skills into action. Initially, the PAC Planning Committee will meet 2-4 times a month for about 90 minutes each session to facilitate preparation and planning for the full PAC.

To join the PAC Planning Committee, fill out the form below:

Your ideas for improvements can be related to program, social services, economic assistance, child welfare system, childcare, education (access, achievement, child development), family planning, mental health, physical health, basic needs (housing, food, clothing, transportation, etc.)

Are you able to commit to an entire year on the committee (4-10 hours per month)?

I understand that by signing up for this committee, I will need to submit information for a background check.
